I read this as a teenager. I liked it then. Rereading it as an adult was actually kinda boring. I think this is because I knew the plot twists that were coming. I felt it dragged in places. Too much detail. But that is me reading it for a purpose (book group) and wanting to move on to something else so I think that tempered my feeling towards the book as an adult.
I have never read this one. It always seemed a bit too "sentimental" for me, and I was right. That said, I can now say I've read this classic.
