I really enjoyed this book. Just the right amount of mysticism with a story about a family over the generations. I did get confused at one point when most of the people were alive because a lot of the men have the same names, however, the family tree in the beginning of the book helped me keep things straight. It was a sad and touching story. I'd recommend it to most people.

I"ll be honest. This one took me awhile to read because it is very detailed and there are many characters who have the same name. There's a family tree at the front but I found myself confused. But instead of making it straight in my head, I decided to just read it and soak it in, and honestly, it does come full circle. I would probably have to read this 5 more times to fully comprehend the story.

I feel like one of the only people in the world who can't get into this, especially as my two best best friends, whose opinions I deeply respect, are mad about it. It's just not working for me, though. Maybe another time.
