It took me a couple of tries with this one, but I'm glad I gave it a second chance. It's a tough read. It's brilliant, though, the writing with the structure and the way it all unfolds.

On one hand, so well written, some sublime wordsmithery, I really enjoyed the prose, Nguyen is a delightful writer.

On the other hand, the content was rougher reading that I can take in these end times. Scurrying back to my Mrs. Pollifax mysteries.
