On one hand, so well written, some sublime wordsmithery, I really enjoyed the prose, Nguyen is a delightful writer.
On the other hand, the content was rougher reading that I can take in these end times. Scurrying back to my Mrs. Pollifax mysteries.

this was occasionally a very slow read, but i think it'll be even more interesting the second time around. highly recommended to be read alongside "she weeps each time you're born."
