First, a story (don't deny me, Goodreads! People post "reviews" that consist solely of gifs from Parks and Rec). This is one of the most beautiful and ugly books I have ever read. The character development is so strong that you immediately connect with all of them. It is amazing how much you learn about the power of hope and love in the midst of such an awful and painful story.
The movie is a must see- It is THE BEST movie rendition of a book I have ever seen. Some things were omitted but everything that was in the movie was just as I pictured it in the book. There's also a cameo by the author. ...more
