I read this via DailyLit (http://www.dailylit.com/), It was supposed to take me 430 days, but I finished it in just 9 months, so clearly I was sneaking some extra reading in there. All of this is to say, Anna Karenina is good! I am so happy that I read it - and that I discovered DailyLit, which broke it down into manageable chunks for me and made it seem less intimidating. One less book on the "I should really read this someday" list.

Finished it!! I think if I was going to be on a deserted island and could only take one book with me, I might take this one. Not because it's the best book I've ever read, but because there is SO much in there that I might enjoy more if I had years to think about it and reread parts and get to know the book inside out, to the exclusion of any other book I might ever read.
