I bought this book for one reason: Leigh Bardugo. I have zero interest in comics or superheros, but once I realized this was not a graphic novel I decided to give it a shot. (I have tried graphic novels, and even on my kindle where I can go panel to panel, they make my head hurt. I respect them as a medium, but they are a medium which is not for me) . I gave this book a try because I enjoyed Leigh Bardugo’s Ninth House and I though it was interesting to find her writing a Wonder Woman novel. The book was rewarding and interesting.
I definitely stopped and checked “is this a young adult book?” partway through. Most of the characters, including Wonder Woman, are in their teens. It mostly matters in that they are plagued by self-doubt 🥴😒.
The audiobook narrator was great.
