4.5 stars. Apparently this is a bit of a Canadian classic, and I can see why. It's got the pace of an action/mystery novel and the full immersion into another culture like good historical or science fiction. I enjoyed this book a lot.

Very good book about a believable future where the city of Toronto is abandoned to gags, the poor, and the orphaned. Good story about a young woman coming into her own. Also, lots of ghosts and magic.
