What an absolute delight to revel with the derby girls in this graphic novel. From Rainbow Bite to Asteroid many roll (I mean, role) models to be found. Put on your skates and take it away -- kapow!
Side note: uncanny coincidence that this is the second book I read today with a connection to Winnie the Pooh as the author V. Jamison goes by "Winnie the Pow" with the Rose City Rollers. Rock on! ...more

️I loved this! Oh, the middle school feels and girl drama and feeling like you're not sure who are but are sure who you are NOT...I loved Astrid's focus and drive but also that she grew as a friend. The art is lovely. My 9-year-old son practically ripped it out of my hands to read, yay!
