This is the first Liane Moriarty book I’ve read, so I don’t know how representative it is of her work, but I’m not inclined to read more. It was a test of endurance to make it to the “thrilling” part, which finally comes in chapter 78. SEVENTY-EIGHT.
Probably more like 3.5 stars. The first half bugged me but the second half redeemed itself and it touched on a lot of relatable stuff for me.
Another great book by Liane Moriarty. She's so good at creating characters I care about and crafting a story that's compelling and moving. I loved the way this one inspected the choices that go into a marriage and the way hiding our guilt can make it grow and expand far beyond the original mistake. Definitely worth a read if you liked her other books.
