Last year, there was an incident involving someone I care about that took place at a crowded park. I won't share any other details, as doing so might give away the climax of Liane Moriarty's latest novel. However, I could easily relate to some of the main characters from Truly Madly Guilty as a result.

I had been eagerly anticipating this novel, as it has been two years since Liane's epic roller-coaster read, Big Little Lies, was published. Some of this story has a similar feel, as it goes back

Slow build up... Slooooooowwwww build up but mostly it pays off.

I didn't read Big Little Lies (but watched the show) and after reading this book, I think I found what my issue is with the author - the lead-up to the "big reveal" is REALLY good, compelling and nicely drawn out. However, the actual reveal of what happened is super boring and a little anti-climactic. But the draw of that big reveal made for a nice read despite my disappointment.

Not my favorite of Moriarty's books, and it definitely helped that I read some reviews that told me that The Thing would not be revealed until halfway through the book. I enjoy a character-driven story and this is definitely that. I think it was just the right number of characters to share the story between, too.

Book Club will definitely have some things to talk about!!

Honestly, I would listen to any audio book read be Caroline Lee. Lovely.
