What Members Thought
A stunning book revealing the lives of Koreans living in Japan over several generations in the twentieth century. I felt like I learned much about a culture of which I knew little. Choices made early in life affect many people rolling forward into the generations.
I’m thankful I stuck with this book. The narrative style and the length wasn’t something I was ready to stick with at first, and I even took a break with another book. But, the history and the story and the characters are all still with me now. It’s been a while since I’ve read a family saga, and I’m glad I read this one.
