I was trying another lighter summer read. This time a look at girls’ gymnastics with a Girl From the Train or Gone Girl thriller feel. It was fine. I kept turning pages. Some of it was pretty easy to see coming. Still might try one of the author’s early works which are supposed to be more Raymond Chandler but with female protagonists.

Not my favorite Megan Abbott but still totally worth reading. Crime thriller with the twist of taking place in an elite gymnastics school is totally up my alley.

I couldn't finish it. The book jumped around and almost seemed like stream of consciousness writing. I wasn't able to get invested enough in the characters to care about solving the mystery. ...more
