Remember your first heartbreak? REMEMBER IT? Adam Silvera gets it and puts it down on paper in a way that is going to be infinitely relatable and compulsively readable for teens.

Hand this to teens who want to cry with their romance (such as fans of If I Stay, etc.).

I am certain that I cried more while reading this book than I have while reading any other book in my life, and that is really saying something.
Griffin assumed that he and Theo were the endgame. That their love would weather the distance and separation of Theo's early enrollment in college across the country. That anyone else they dated would just be to pass the time, and they would come back to each other. Instead, Theo drowned in California, and Griffin is devastated.
