There's a lot of varying talk about this book, some good and some bad and I think that as a whole, that's exactly what the book is, some good and some bad. For those who may never have thought about racism, the book probably (hopefully) opened their eyes to a sort of representation of the type of life black people and especially black women in 1960s southern America could have lived. A quick read, Oprah-style page turner. I saw the ads on TV and figured I should read it before the movie came out!
So sad it is over!
Loved the beginning...
