This book is deeply weird. But if you're down for deeply weird, this is your book. I can't wait to watch the TV adaptation, because I cannot imagine how they put this on the screen.
I loved the concepts in this book, even if it went down a lot of random trails. It's the kind of book I'd love to go through, chapter by chapter, in a class somewhere, because I'm sure I missed a lot of references.

wow! it's for books like this that I wish I knew how to write even a half-way decent review. but I don't. so I'll just say that this book captured my attention and my imagination and made me think about America and about gods in new ways...it made me feel uncomfortable and unhappy at the same time it delighted and made me smile. This is my 3rd Gaiman novel and I think I'm now coming to expect this reaction. I'm looking forward to #4 (and haven't yet decided what it's going to be...recommendation
