The first (and last) time I read this I was in college. All I remembered about it was the hurricane and (view spoiler).
I didn't know how I felt about this book when I was reading it, but in the end I found it super empowering. I did not appreciate the beauty or significance of this story when I read it in high school. So glad I have it a second read! (Also, amazing what I did remember of it!)
