the first 100 pages or so were great...and then it just dragged. I learned a lot, but didn't enjoy reading on and on about her family. In the end, I'm glad I read it, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Very interesting and thought provoking book about medical ethics, racism, personal responsibility, and legacy. It seems to be popping up in different media and conversations everywhere, so I was glad to finally understand what it was all about. I raged to friends who would listen about the inequity and injustice involved, but was left with many questions about how the medical professions/industry continues to treat human cells.
