What Members Thought

So, Brian K. Vaughan saw the MST3K episode "Future War", where aliens use dinosaurs from the past to track down human slaves who've escaped through time, and decided to tweak the story to the 80s with teen paper delivery girls and an future human/alien generational time-traveling war?
Cool, cool, cool. I mean, it's excellent, the art and characters and dialogue are fantastic, but the plot is a little confusing in its set-up. I can't wait to see the next volume. ...more

On the plus side, there are some awesome 80s references, cool artwork that helps set up the right tone, and a group of strong, curious, smart girls with room to grow and develop. On the bad side, they have to fight alien invaders or people from the future or both or whatever. Which is too bad because I loved the angsty slice of life aspect of this!

Holy cats this is insane and so very good! Do not read without the next one nearby because you will NEED to know what happens next. It is all completely unexpected - you start off thinking it’s one thing, then it keeps switching on you, keeping you guessing. As a child of that time, I love the 80s setting, too. And it’s amazing how fast you care about these characters and what happens to them next...
