What Members Thought

Toni Morrison truely is a magnificent author. This is a short but wonderfully written book about young black girls, and the trials and tribs they endure in a world where beauty is blond hair and blue eyes. Though there are some graphic scenes, it is a book definitely worth reading. I loved the way she worked all of the characters stories in and how they all connected back to the original group.

This little novel is a perfect example of the power of storytelling. Brilliantly structured and beautifully, heartbreakingly told.
