I read this book because it was cited as a "precursor" to Marcelo in the Real World, which I loved. However, this one didn't live up to the hype for me. It's about Christopher, a 15-year-old with Asperger's who finds his neighbor's murdered dog, and begins investigating as though he's a character in a murder mystery. In the course of his investigation, he ends up uncovering secrets about his family instead.

Charming and cute. Christopher is a memorable character but that's about it.

Wow - I've been trying to read this book for at least a year and a half. Finally did it. I can see why everyone is so amazed by it...it had a really interesting perspective....yet, I had a hard time getting into it. I'm just glad to have finished it!
