What a fascinating subject. At times this got a bit long-winded - especially noticeable because I listened to it on audio - but it made a great commute "read."

This book is almost as much about the author (and her apparent habit of being obsessed with her subjects) as it is about octopuses, but I loved most of it anyway. I learned a great deal about octopuses (though I really wish I could keep calling them octopi—I just like the way it sounds!) and many other aquatic animals the author uses for comparison.
