4,5 stars actually, and totally deserved it!! I think this is my first experience reading Stephen King's book, and whatta BOOK! Telling a time travel story is not an easy thing to do, but King succeeded to doing it effortlessly. Jake Epping is one of the most lovable characters I've ever encountered and I can't help but to root for him. The hypothetically story about "what if we can change one of the most important moment in history and make the earth a better place to live?" But is it really th

Like so much of Stephen King, this was so so so long, and there were times I was slogging through so many words about Lee Harvey Oswald and wishing an editor had been a bit more ruthless. But overall, it was really interesting and the premise was fantastic. I’ve found myself thinking about it for days afterward. I also loved all the references to “It” since I re-read that not too long ago.

Bingo - over 800 pages (my edition has 842!) LOVE LOVE LOVED this. I haven't been this absorbed in a book since the last few Harry Potter books came out. It was wonderful! ...but now back to my regular life.

Forty plus years as a successful novelist and the man still doesn't know how to bring a novel to its end. Everything he writes goes on at least three chapters longer than it should. This book was no exception. I also felt that I got bogged down within the story. I liked the time-travelling idea. I like the idea of saving Kennedy and changing the future for the better. I liked the idea of time having its own motives and the butterfly effect always leading to a path you didn't count on. But, I rea

Very good time travel book that is perfect for readers who don't usually read in this genre. Jake Epping is a high school teacher in Maine who travels back to 1958 with the discovery of a rabbit hole in the back of the diner owned by his friend Al. Al convinces Jake to prevent the Kennedy assassination in 1963 but that plot doesn't kick in until the last third of the novel. In the first third, Jake prevents a mass murder of a family in a small insular town in Maine. He then moves to Jodi, Texas

Like most of his books, this book had an original storyline and was very engaging. But also like most of his books, it was WAY too long and it needed serious editing. There were several points when I wanted to just put it down but I wanted to see how it ended! And like most of his books, the build-up was so intense that the finale was inevitably a let-down.

Did Stephen King really write this one? It was so UNweird I couldn't tell... very good, ALL the way through!

Don't be scared of the length of the book, this story really keeps you going. The national geographic channel just made a movie called Killing Kennedy, and it was all stuff I was reading about in this novel...it's more historical fiction than it is sci/fi. I like the idea of time travel and how much of an impact each and every one of us has on the world. I'm told there are Easter eggs thrown in from Steven King's other novels - this is the first book I've read by this author and I didn't feel li
