This book picked up exactly where the first one left off - the timewalk from present day to 1590 - Elizabethan England. I enjoyed this book more than the first one, though it took me ages to read it, as I mostly read it in bed before going to sleep. There may have been a few dreams of Matthew happening, but anyway, I digress .....
I enjoyed the interweaving of historical figures and events, as well as the fleshing out of the main and side characters.

We pick up with Matthew and Diana pretty much where Discovery left off – they have successfully traveled back to 1590, with intentions of finding a “witch tutor” for Diana to harness her powers. So much fun going back in time with this one. The world of Elizabethan England is vividly imagined and there are lots of juicy character moments. Really good. Can't wait to find out how it ends. ...more
