I am glad that I re-read The Great Gatsby. A book that I skimmed in high school, only reading enough to pass tests. I think that if I would have stuck it out I would have enjoyed the themes of crapping on greed and excess, but I just wasn't ready to read thought it all then. A clearer perspective as an adult, I enjoyed it far more than I assumed I would.

Had to reread this 'cause pretty soon my American Literature juniors will be reading it. I didn't really remember it from high school and now I remember why... it's kinda slow and nothing interesting happens until the last two chapters. Oh what fun my juniors will have!

Absolutely beautiful. I reread this book on a whim, and I'm so glad I did. Frank Muller's narration is perfect.
