What Members Thought

I didn't devour this book like many reviews seemed to indicate I would, but I enjoyed it all the same. I read a fair amount of mystery and suspense, and I've read the missing wife, everybody has secrets story before. I liked that this used outright lies rather than simply omitting useful details. Four stars because i love War of the Roses and respect an author who can make me care about what happens next to some pretty useless, nasty people.

It's best if you don't know anything about this book before going into it, so I'll keep this simple. I was absolutely hooked to this - I haven't been so into a book in a long while.

A real page-turner; perfect for an end of the summer thrilling read. What makes it so likable is that Flynn spares no effort to make her characters likable; the acidic narration is bracing. I'll be reading more by this author.

Flynn is talented. I didn't enjoy it. With the exception of Go, the characters were unlikable. Did it keep me reading? Yes. Will I be recommending it? No.
