I enjoyed Twilight so much that I immediately called the friend who loaned it to me to ask for the second book. She happily complied and I spent the next 24 hours devouring this book. This was a more difficult book for me to read than Twilight. Not because it was a more challenging book, but because reading about Bella’s experiences was painful. Shelves: young-adult, fantasy

I liked this book better than Twilight right up until the end. I liked it because Edward left shattering the image of their ideal relationship. I think he should have left at the end of Twilight, actually. That would have resolved some of the issues I had with that book, but no. And then Edward returns at the end of the book and they fall right back into the gushy co-dependent relationship that I can hardly stand to read about. I like Jake. (2/16/09) I officially quit. I cannot bring myself to pick it back up.

(12/2008) Okay, I'm starting to really dislike Bella. She's in the hospital every other page. Even Alice is disgusted with her. I'm not sure I can go on.

Not even close to being as good as the first. Is the third any better? I cannot help myself but to go and buy it tomorrow...
I wish I had thought ahead and bought the whole series at once.
