Summer 2016 Bingo - about a disease. I've had this in my Kindle library for a while; Sara read it in high school and told me she thought I'd like it. She was right. I loved the way Plath wove the flashbacks and the current timeline together. It felt the way her reality(ies?) might be tumbling into each other and we're never sure what's real and now and what she might be dreaming. The feminism and sexuality themes are really interesting - must talk with my mother about those aspects.

I found this in my mom's basement when I was cleaning up some things, and decided that since I didn't read it when I was in high school, I better get on it.
I wasn't disappointed, that's for sure. For the first half of the book, I felt like I was really associating with a lot of what she said. The general malaise associated with being a young woman and not knowing what you're doing/where you're going was definitely something I can relate to, or could relate to, when I was younger.
