What Members Thought
I enjoyed the story flow of this book; for some reason, it reminded me of a 50-years-later Tropic of Cancer, in that the stories didn't have much substance, but they were enjoyable to follow. This was a whirlwind adventure across America, and I sure didn't like the actions of most of the main characters! I often wanted to slap some sense into them, telling them to settle down, but I am not rating this book based upon my like or dislike of characters. I am just saying I often found the book frust

it stirs the traveling spirit, even if most of what happens is a little much
So far I'm really wishing I had read this in college. I probably would have enjoyed it back then. Not so much now.
