It seems that everyone has finished reading the final Harry Potter book. I wanted to listen to the final one as I had all of the others. As usual, Jim Dale does an incredible job of bringing characters to life. There were many times during his telling that I would cry, laugh, or gasp in shock. I was pleased with the ending and sad with all the deaths. I loved how everything wrapped up and I am going to miss hearing about the adventures of Harry and his friends.

Finally got around to reading this after having had it in my 'currently reading' list for oh, about a year. It didn't grab me when i'd first picked it up, right when it was published. But boy did it grab me this time... It held on like mad. I was utterly sad when i finished it for i knew that was it. Rowling’s accomplishment in creating the world of HP can’t be overstated. Dozens of memorable characters, adding words like muggle to the common parlance, inspiring generations of readers. That said, this book is probably my least favorite of the series. The lack of the school milestones, the clunky unfolding of events and particularly the overly exposition filled epilogue make this the book where Rowlings seams are most visible. Great ending to the series! All I have to say is, wow, I wasn't expecting an ending of that caliber.
