There are times when I wish I wasn't reading ARC's alone. This is one of them. I've just finished Laird Hunt's novel, Neverhome, and I wish I could have a book club discussion about it NOW. This is an impressive work of fiction and I was hooked from the first page. Hunt captures the tone and speech of the Civil War era perfectly. I gave up when the widow with weird purple glasses showed up.
Was a 5 * read but I didn't care for the ending so knocked it down to a 4 * rating.
