Classic you "should've read" - This is my first full-length Dickens (I read A Christmas Carol every December) and I LOVED it! Simon Vance narrated beautifully and I really saw the scenes and the characters. Pictures painted with words. Somehow, I've managed to be a reader for fifty years and I did not know the story, so I was surprised by the twists and turns it took until the end. Surely I can't spoil a book this old, but I'll just say I gasped out loud several times ... and was most distressed

First off, getting this out of the way...worst reader ever. I could barely pay attention.
But, after filling in the gaps with the help of Wikis, it is a good story.
