This book definitely offered some food for thought. In America, we relate God with prosperity. I love God, so I get the big house, fancy car, etc. But in the rest of the world this is not true. (To be fair, it's not true here either.) Loving Jesus is dangerous and at some point it will cost you something.

This is a life-changing book.
If you want to continue life as usual, do not read this book. Because once you read its message (straight from the lips of Jesus), you have to make a choice about what you will do about it--change course or continue to pursue the American dream, a dream that does not line up with what Jesus said our lives should be about.
If you are a person who has no interest in what Jesus said, I imagine you wouldn't read this book anyway. But if you are someone who says they foll ...more
