To understand just one life, you have to swallow the world.
This is one of the most ambitious (and best) novels i've ever read, but it doesn't just aim high, it continually goes beyond the target. There are times when every single aspect of an artistic endeavour comes together perfectly, with very little (if any) areas that could have been better. Midnight's Children is an perfect example.
