A very well written book, which is good b/c it's incredibly long. I enjoyed the story, but it does take a while (100+) pages to get into it, so you have to commit for the long haul. However, the last 200+ pages more than made up for the slow start, for me.

Hmmm. This book was a solid 4 stars for me for most of it - Bleak House in its Dickensian wit and storyline (and even length), which I loved - but the ending left SO MUCH to be desired, after all of that time investment!!!! What of Stephen Black's love? I wanted to see that story through. What of so many great characters that ended up kind of just... disappearing? What was the actual message being conveyed in 850 pages?! I found that the Jonathan/Arabella story was the one I cared about least at
