Flavia de Luce is back! The mystery that she faced now is actually one of the weakest in the series. But I like the setting of the story, in a girls boarding school in Canada. This reminds me of one of Agatha Christie's story, Cat Among the Pigeons, with the suspicious students, teachers, and secret nooks and crannies between the rooms at school. Another great Flavia De Luce mystery. In this installment, Flavia is enrolled in Miss Bodycote's boarding school for girls in Toronto. On her first night in the school, a skeleton falls out of the chimney and of course Flavia must investigate. Bradley shakes up his formula slightly by the change in venue. Bishop's Lacey and home are never far from Flavia's thoughts and the plot is once again centered on solving a mystery - not espionage as hinted in the end of the previous book in the series. I love Flavia! Even though it turns out I'm supposed to be calling her Flavia like rhymes with grave or brave...

The writing was fantastic and it really was a joy to read this book even though there is some unavoidable let down at the end that the book is over and there will be no more Flavia for a year or so.
