I liked this one much better than The Cuckoo Calling. The writing flowed and was solid. I really liked what we got to know about both Cormoran and Robin. I was surprised when the murdered was revealed. Looking forward to reading the next Cormoran Strike book.

This was my second reading, and I listened on audio this time. The ghoulishness of the murder is a little more immediate, listening, rather than reading and I got a little worn out with its details being repeated. I also feel like “Galbraith” is a little too admiring of Strike, though not as much as in the first book. Lots of comments on what a great, thorough detective he is. But the clues are well distributed and the character development in these books is top notch. And now on to book three…
