Book 2 in the Cormoran Strike mystery series written by J.K. Rowling. Strike and his assistant, Robin, enter the convoluted literary world when an infamous author disappears.

I love Galbraith/Rowling's two characters (Robin and Strike) but I just got so TIRED of the constant swearing and bizarre sexual themes. I can appreciate that she's a craftsman and all, but...I'm getting too old for some of that rot!

I will continue keeping an eye on this series and will probably skim-read them, but won't be ...more

Another solid showing from Robert Galbraith / JK Rowling. This may be my favorite detective series after Michael Connelly / Harry Bosch. Not quite the same momentum and thrill as the Harry Bosch series - but great lead characters, solid plots, and good writing against a London setting. Looking forward to more.
