This entire phenomenon has been on my mind a lot lately - and not just because I'm active on social media, and therefore vulnerable to the situations Ronson outlines.

I've been thinking about it because of the piousness involved, the snark, the pure need to cast judgement. Don't get on the Internet. Don't use social media. Especially not Twitter. Don't tell any jokes. Don't write a book review. In fact, don't speak at all. This was much more frivolous and meandering than I expected, but it was highly readable. There is a LOT of profanity and I can't really recommend it, though I did read it in basically one sitting. ...more
