Omg staggering! Wonderful and heartbreaking. Those things sound cliche but this is truly an amazing book. It will stay with me for a long time. Sad. Beautiful.

I have wanted to read this book and have procrastinated reading it for about the same amount of time, because of the sad. Yes, it delivers on the sad. It was just so sad! I did appreciate the glimpse into the Asian American experience, especially in the 70s in the Midwest. And it was certainly well written.
