[close] Started this book on September 23, just dragging along. Yesterday I picked up The Anger Meridian by Kylie Jones and finished it in a few hours-271 pages. After a few weeks, I'm only on page 64 of Looking for Transwonderland-325 pages. Reading it for book club, and considering just picking out another book by African author. This feels like a chore, in spite of my wanting to know more about Nigeria.
Still pushing on. Happened to pick up movie Half of a Yellow Sun last weekend. Wish I'd chosen that book instead. Well, due back to library tomorrow, crunch time.
Tough one to get through, the writing.

In 1995 Ken Saro-Wiwa was executed in Nigeria after a show tribunal for being an environmental activist. His children grew up between mostly England and Nigeria, and last year his daughter published an autobiography/travel report about returning to Nigeria after many years.
