Bingo - Nonfiction. So many people recommended this and I kept putting it off because Non-fiction. Thank you Book Bingo for putting it to the top of my summer TBR. This is certainly the best non-fiction book I've read in a very long time and I just started a "2015 favorites" shelf so this could be my first entry there. This story got into my head early on and it grabbed my heart, too. And finally, Edward Herrmann's narration was simply the best.

Really enjoyed this book about the American 1936 gold medal winning rowing team. Very well researched and kept my interest. I knew very little about rowing before I read this.

I had this for a few years, and when my cousin found out she said "You have to read this one next, it will restore your faith in humanity." You know what...she was right! If you enjoyed stories like Laura Hillenbrand's Seabiscuit or Unbroken, you will love this. Daniel James Brown is now on my "must read authors" list. ...more

Just finished listening to the audiobook, and sniffled through the entire epilogue. Would give this six stars if I could. Bought the paperback so I can read it again.
