Wow. Man, this was good. This collection of 6 short stories (short is a misnomer; many are kinda long) delves into deep character studies that feature themes of imprisonment, loneliness, inner turmoil. It's amusing that I just read a Raymond Carver book, and they are similar in so many ways (and hey, another interviewer describes the author's style as Carver-esque!) Like Carver, the themes are similar (you'll need a hug after reading some of these), as are the "what isn't being said" storytellin
