The paths that ghosts follow are written on the land in old words.
When I read Neil Gaimans short stories, I'm left feeling like I'm not clever enough (or well read enough) to "get it," or it's an inside joke that I just don't get. It's a funny thing, because I don't feel that way about his comic books or his novels. There's just not a full world in many of these short pieces. It's still really good though.

I really loved this collection of short stories and poems and oddities. The stories are mostly fantasy/horror type and a lot of them really stuck in my mind and made me think. If you like anything else of Gaiman's, I recommend this book.

Gaiman's writing is beautiful, as is his voice (such a great bonus that he narrates this himself! I love listening to him). However, I have a hard time listening to such short snippets while I'm driving, and by the time I know what is going on, the story is over. I definitely want to read the rest of this, so will have to pick it up somewhere soon!
