This was a fun vacation read, but the framing is odd. Like...is Rachel the protagonist? And if so, why is she so dull? And why do we spend so much time following various other characters? I think I may have enjoyed things more if the focus were split more evenly (because as written, Rachel simply isn’t interesting enough to carry the story on her own). I gave this as much as I could. I am ok with watching extreme wealth, because I don't care what kind of fancy it is I just know it's fancy. I don't want to hear/read about expensive stuff because I just do not care at all. Also Eleanor was a WAY better character in the movie than here. There were actually a couple of bits where I liked the vibe and liked where it was going (i.e. the parts that were just Nick and Rachel), and then it just went back to bad writing about money and jerks.

Most of the chapters made me open-mouthed, even the prologue. It was also hilarious reading how those rich people think and act. I wonder if that happens in real life.
Another good things from this book, it's written with many POVs. Although it was hard for me to distinguish each characters in its few first chapters, I like it somehow.
