This was on my t0-read list ever since I saw the first ad for it and it was definitely an above-average dystopian teen book, but I didn't find myself wanting to read further....and it looks like there are probably at least four-five more in the series.

The Program presents a future in which suicide is an epidemic among teenagers and is supposedly spread like an infectious disease. In order to save the children, certain areas are implementing "The Program" *dumdumdum* where students have their memories erased in order to take away the triggers of depression, anxiety, and desire to self-harm. If this seems at odds with the theory it's a contagious disease, you would be in good company. Something is fishy, and I wasn't quite sure if it was intent
