This is a hard one to review because it's unlike any other book I've ever read. Most of the time I read the book I wasn't sure how I felt about it, but the last section really brought it all together for me. I immediately regretted reading it so fast! This is a book to savor and pay attention to. The Story of my Teeth is unexpectedly funny and warm all while being very hard to describe, so just read it if you want to read an excellent piece of Mexican literature.

An unconventional book, told in allegories and circular stories. It's rambling, and weird, but also very grounded in specific people and places, both fictional and actual. It is “about” eccentric Gustavo Sanchez Sanchez, also known as Highway. He is the narrator for most of the book, telling tall tales and tangents in equal parts.
