Given the types of books that I buy/read, I guess it's not surprising that I accidentally read two "soft-apolcalyptic" (is there a word to describe this genre already? Did I just make one up? TRADEMARK!) books back to back, but it wasn't by design in that I had forgotten what both were about. Anyway, they were very different, but both were excellent.

I really enjoyed this book. There are parts that I wasn't CRAZY about and there are certain aspects that you have to be willing to ignore, but otherwise, it is a great coming of age story. http://youtu.be/8zUW2iD1Ufo
