Revisited a childhood favorite this weekend and was struck by its sophisticated language and subtle humor. It remains a favorite!
Really enjoyed this one. Listened to the audiobook read by Rachel McAdams.
Every time I move, the first book I read in the new place is Anne. This time, on the Kindle. Since, you know, all my copies of the book were being bug fogged when I moved.
Magical to re-read this on Prince Edward Island.
It's been a loooooooong time since I've read this (I wanted to reread the book before watching the Netflix series "Anne With an E"), but settling into Anne's stories and daydreams felt like visiting with an old friend, like coming home. Anne is definitely a 'kindred spirit' to me!
