The Lady Emily series was recommended to me by my SIL (who I have yet to get to join GR) so I put And Only To Deceive on my Book Blogger Holiday Swap wishlist.

And I was gifted a copy. Shame on me for not reading it until now.

Victorian England...Emily marries Lord Ashton only because she wants to get away from her mother. Then he dies leaving her a widow which, she discovers, can be a very freeing thing. The mystery surrounds art forgeries. Not the best mystery ever, but the discussion group had a lot to talk about.
