I really wish that we could give half-stars on this site. This one would get 3-1/2 stars from me. I really liked the concept and really liked this book as a whole, but there were a some big turnoffs for me. I really got sick of reading about how cool Henry and Clare were because they listened to punk, and also because they liked ethnic food. Oh, and also Clare being an artist. It took me about half the book to get into it, but then I was caught up. I want to congratulate this book for joining Richard Russo's 'Empire Falls' in the Books That Make Me Sob Uncontrollably On Airplanes category.

One of the best books I've ever read. I couldn't believe how great this story was. Completely captivating and so real and true. A bookfriend to come back to again and again.

Read 180 pages and gave up because I still didn't care about the characters. An interesting premise, but not enough thought put into character development.
